Our News 2014
Bit sad that I have not updated this page since June. Well what have we done?
Very glad to say that with limited showing this year we have still had a great year in the ring.
Riki has had a great year with an All Breed Best in Show win, Specialty Runner Up to Best in Show, 4 Best in Groups, 11 Reserve In Groups and as many class in show wins.
Piia has been developing into a special little girl that is now working with us and not fighting us. She gained her championship at 8 months of age. She too has achieved 14 classes in group and a class in show.
Trouble was titled and continues to take some nice classes in group and the occasional runner up to best in group.
Coco came home to us and thank you to Jeff and Jill for their work we finished her title at her first show in Qld.
We had some siberian pups from Dio and Spirit and are very proud to say that Reign has shown exceptionally well with numerous classes in group and show already. Amber will continue to be shown whilst Reign will be petted out.
July saw us in Europe visiting France, Germany, Scotland, then on to Finland for the World Dog Show and Sweden.
Back to Australia to successfully complete my Hands on Exam for Hounds . Then some shows both exhibiting and judging for the remainder of the year.

We have not done much in the show scene for the start of June. Managed a trip to Melbourne to show (uneventful results) and to catch up with my beautiful children, mother and grandson. That was truly worth it.

What an awesome day we had at teh Bundaberg Show Society! Dio - Jr Rus Ch Atlanterra Alladin won Best Exhibit In Group. this is fantastic as he has only been out of quarantine for just a month.
Riki also had a win with State Bred in show.
The pups are departing us with Flash leaving along with Carter aka Mr Purple. What a trooper he is! He already free stands and has learned to walk on a lead. All in one day!
This is Carter with his new mum.

We attended Mundubbera Show Society over the weekend. It is with great pleasure that Riki gained his 20th Best in Group award. This cements his Supreme championship as this means that he has gained it twice now all well before his fourth birthday.
Trouble won Puppy in show and Piia took Baby in group.
This was a lovely day of showing.

We have sent the beautiful Whisper to Snofyre Finnish Lapphunds to be mated to our jointly owned import boy Odin. This has been a litter that we have waited on for over a year.
Please make enquiries to us before July and to Snofyre after July.
We still have 2 boys available from Hannah's current litter.
We are getting pretty excited about the arrival of Dio into our home on Sunday 27th April. Dio has just about made a round the world trip from Russia to Austria to Canada and finally to us to title before he goes to his home in WA with his new owner. Enquiries regarding Dio will be forwarded to his owner for consideration.

Wow what a busy weekend we have just completed! The travel to Sydney for the inaugral NSW Lapphund club show was well worth it. With an entry of 62 lappies, Riki took Runner Up to Best In Show to the lovely Emmi.
Riki and Styler also won their Age class in show along with best gaited for Riki.
The Sydney royal also proved to be elusive for us this year being won by Nike.
Riki won reserve DCC and Reserve of breed.
What truly surprised and excited us was the number of dogs from our breeding that placed first and second in classes and took all the 5 top awards - Best of Breed, Reserve of Breed, Puppy of Breed and both Bitch challenge and reserve. All these were progeny from our NV litter. Not a shabby result for Theldaroy.
I wish to give a huge thank you to Michele Kearney, Sally and especially to Caroline for showing my dogs whilst i was judging in Brisbane. The dogs looked and performed well for each of you.
Some further excitement here at Theldaroy with the arrival in quarantine of our "loaner" boy.

We have been excited about the pending arrival of Siberian little feet. We are still waiting on this but got the unexpected pleasure of a litter of Lappies. Hannah had been separated from Ismo in January but obviously we missed her coming into season by a day or two.
We now have the beautiful Unxpctd Litter of 5 boys and a single girl.
Our long awaited litter of siberians has been born today 7th April - 2 girls and 2 boys.

Over the past week we have allowed 2 of our special show family go to new homes. Both have completed their show careers and we decided to share their beautiful personalities with someone else. Otso had not yet been used to reproduce his beautiful self but we did collect from him before he left our lives to live with an active new owner in the ACT. Aria has had 2 beautiful litters and she left to share her soft, quiet self with a lovely family in WA.
Both dogs go to dog parks and walks on near daily basis. We at Theldaroy could not have hoped for better forever homes for our preloved show kids.
It has been a stressful week with these two leaving but the tears shed by us have been both sad and joyful ones.

Redcliffe Kennel Club show on 15th February made a thrilling day for us. That evening wit hmyself on the end of Myah';s lead won the BCC to gain her final points for her Supreme title. I sadly broke down yet again, and had Kira show her for Best of Breed and in group for which we were eliminate.
This was so exciting for us as Myah was recently mated for her second and final litter. We now await for confirmation of pregnancy.
Earlier in the day we attended the Clifton Show Society where Myah won BOB and was run for group winning the Open in group.
Riki was left at home in preference to taking Trouble who was in season.

Well the New Year has arrived!
We have made some puppy owners very happy with the announcement of which pup they will own.
Theldaroy are going to attempt to have the same showing goal as we did for 2013 - To convert those Best In Group awards to Best in Show.
2014 will see us attending the World Dog Show and our first major overseas trip. This will include a trip to the Moulin Rouge, Military Tattoo, and include a trip to Estonia whilst in Helsinki.
We are so looking forward to 2014.
