November has been incredibly and unseasonable hot this year. We have now completed our shows for the year. We have nothing further to report regarding our lives. Have a happy Christmas and great New Year from Theldaroy Finnish Lapphunds and Siberian Huskies.
October saw us showing at the Qld Puppy of the Year with Amber and Qld Dog of the Year with Riki. We are delighted to be given the opportunity to do this as these are by invitation only. To qualify for the Dog of the Year an entrant must have won a Best in Show the Year before. Now the rulings include a Runner Up to Best in show as well.

Bryanna's last weekend with us showing was at Gladstone in early October. We did not do too badly winning Runner Up To Best in Show with Spirit.
Riki was fortunate to win Best In Group at both shows.

Wow how lazy have I been in updating? Well what have we done? In March we drove to Sydney for the FLCNSW specialty show. Nothing much to report here as we did not have the style of lappie that suited the judge. We did much better in the novelty classes though winning best headed bitch with Scandal and best gait and best bred by exhibitor with Riki, best footed with Ch Theldaroy Suklaa Crispello, Best tail with Odin, and the ring in Ch Yobhunden Big Paws to Fill came away with best eyes and best intermediate in show as well as reserve dog challenge . We came away from the Champ show with a beautiful bowl for Australian Bred in Show with Scandal. We did do much better at the Sydney Royal the following day winning best of breed with Riki, and then shortlisted to the final 8 in group. Styler a full brother to Riki from a repeat mating won the reserve dog challenge. To top it off we also won Breeders team of the day. This team changed slightly, for specials and we were in serious contention for the team of show. Drat did not manage that one. At the end of May we had the Royal litter delivered to Maddie with the sire being Odin. These beautiful pups are leaving the coop at the end of July and off to their forever homes. |

We started the year out without much success in the ring although Myah continues to win her class in group frequently going through to Neuter in Show. Riki is less lucky with being shortlisted each show but not finishing it off. Reign has gone to his new home and Amber is coming along nicely. The girls are all coming into season which is not exactly pleasant and we are sadly lacking in the coat department here.
