This litter had 2 brown pups that were identified at 6 weeks of age with PDA. Patent Ductus Arteriosus is basically where the valves of the heart are not functioning or have formed properly. In human terms this would be a hole in the heart. It can be left to see how the pup develops or corrected surgically. This is what was done for these pups. 3 months after their operation and after their health check from the cardiologist they were placed into their forever homes.
